Ozark Actors Theatre Presents Hilarious Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein Musical

Rolla, MO – Ozark Actors Theatre (OAT) presents Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein in their 2026 professional main stage season. This classic comedy feature film is now a musical and true in tone to Brooks’ comedic style!
 
Leading the company is Taylor Sinclair as the famous Dr. Frankenstein alongside Evan Wittstock playing his equally famous monster. Audiences will also recognize nine of the company members that have carried over from this summer’s production of The Addams Family. The roles of Inga and Elizabeth made famous by Teri Garr and Madeline Kahn will be played by Avery Lux and Riley Francis respectively. OAT newcomers Debbie Prutsman and Jack Romero will be making their debuts as Frau Blucher and Igor. Filling the shoes of the crowd favorite character Inspector Kemp is OAT alum Craig Phillips and rounding out this talented song-and-dance cast are Citlali Arzabala, Tenaujah Lee, Hannah McLaughlin, Conor Hughes, Lincoln Kimball, and OAT newcomer Aaron Fishcher.
 
This production will feature an appropriately dazzling yet spooky set designed by Adam Crinson and brilliant lighting design by Michael Sullivan (OAT’s The Sound of Music, CLUE, Spamalot, and Once Upon a Mattress). In addition to OAT alum Jenna Gove’s incredible costume design, the show has a hilarious score written by Mel Brooks himself! This hilarious music (seriously it is so funny) will shine under the music direction of Dr. Jenna Lee Moore and Broadway level choreography by OAT alum Avery Lux. This production is sure to be a visual delight!
