CMFCAA’s Legacy of Love Gala raises over $117K

Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association (CMFCAA) is delighted to announce the success of its annual "Legacy of Love" Gala, held Nov. 9, at Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City. The event, themed "A Dream is Only the Beginning," grossed an impressive $117,262.78 to support foster, adoptive, and kinship families across Central Missouri.
The evening commenced with a heartfelt welcome from CEO Jill Quaid, who emphasized the organization's mission to support children and families in need. Comedian Justin James served as both emcee and auctioneer, infusing the event with energy and humor. The "Paddles Up" segment alone garnered over $13,000, reflecting the generosity of the 216 attendees.
A highlight of the evening was guest speaker Dr. John "Push" Gaines, who shared his inspiring journey from adversity to advocacy, underscoring the profound impact of belief and support.
The gala concluded with a lively performance by BootCut, a country-rock group that kept the celebration going until about 10 p.m.
The funds raised will directly support CMFCAA's programs and services, including emergency assistance, training, respite care, and advocacy for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Thanks to the community's generosity, CMFCAA is better equipped to continue its mission of strengthening families and providing safe, loving homes for children in care.
CMFCAA extends its deepest gratitude to all attendees, sponsors, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the "Legacy of Love" Gala. The organization looks forward to building on this success and working together toward a brighter future for the children and families it serves.
