Programs & Events Specialist
The Programs & Events Specialist plays a pivotal role in connecting the Chamber with its members, partners, and the community. This position requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and expertise in event planning and community engagement. The Specialist will lead the planning and execution of events and initiatives, serve as a liaison for key committees, and enhance communication efforts to strengthen the Chamber’s mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
Event Management- Plan, coordinate, and execute Chamber events, including monthly meetings, fundraisers, and special community initiatives.
- Work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and volunteers to ensure seamless event execution.
- Develop and manage event budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Secure and manage sponsorships to support event success and maintain accurate records of contributions.
Committee Collaboration
- Serve as the staff liaison for The Collective Young Professionals, fostering collaboration and driving engagement among members.
- Oversee and coordinate the Education Committee’s efforts, ensuring impactful projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with event committees and volunteers to ensure successful planning and implementation.
Communications
- Manage and update the Chamber’s website, ensuring accurate and timely information.
- Create and manage engaging content for social media platforms to increase community awareness and event participation.
- Coordinate email campaigns, including newsletters, press releases, and announcements, using tools like Constant Contact.
- Maintain the Chamber’s membership software for RSVPs, committee communications, and correspondence.
- Capture and organize photos and videos at events for promotional use.
Administrative Support
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors to the office and handle inquiries.
- Maintain organized files and records to support efficient operations.
- Prepare detailed reports for board meetings and other organizational needs.
Qualifications:
Required Skills- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to craft compelling marketing and public relations content.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event planning tools.
- Experience managing social media platforms and website content.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in event planning, membership coordination, or communications.
- Familiarity with tools like Constant Contact, social media scheduling platforms, and CRM software.

Working Conditions:
