Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive, respectful environment. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the importance of valuing and compensating our caregivers for their vital work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly
  • Assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
  • Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition management to promote healthy living
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols
  • Ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
  • Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to foster socialization and independence
Skills
  • Proven experience in group home settings, assisted living, or long-term care environments
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, L1MA, ISL setting, and behaviors.
  • Ability to perform patient observation and monitoring with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with medication administration procedures and care plan implementation
  • Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility needs
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of resident information
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is highly valued
Requirements
  • Evenings and weekend shifts, overnight shifts, full and part-time shifts are available.
  • Driver's license and car insurance
  •  HSD or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation is required for this position.
  •  Must pass drug screening, FCSR, and case net.
 
Insurance after 90 days. Sign-on bonus from $500 to $900. Starting pay is $15.50 but will discuss start pay per person based on experience and/or education.
