Director of Community Development/Codes Administrator

The City of Rolla, MO (pop 19,953) is looking for a highly skilled individual with professional ethics, integrity, proven leadership skills and outstanding communication skills to serve as its new Director of Community Development.  The Director will be responsible for building codes, plan review, inspection services, and all land-use (planning, zoning & subdivision processes), and coordinating the activities of 5 – 6 member department. 
Qualified applicants should possess at least ten years of construction and building code experience with no less than five years of supervisory experience.  Applicant shall possess extensive knowledge of International Building Codes, inspection services, facility and land-use planning.  A bachelor’s degree and certification as a Codes Administrator is strongly preferred.  Salary range of $73,600 – $97,400 plus excellent benefits.
