Position Overview: Team Lead

The Team Lead plays a critical role in ensuring that consumers receive high-quality support and services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct care to consumers, supporting their independence.
  • Supervising and mentoring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
  • Conducting in-house training sessions.
  • Managing schedules and ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Accompanying consumers to medical appointments.
  • Completing and maintaining accurate consumer records.
  • Organizing and leading team meetings.
  • Conducting vehicle inspections for employee use.
  • Collaborating with community agencies.
  • Transporting consumers as needed.
  • Evaluating DSP performance.
  • Handling household tasks, such as grocery and supply shopping.
  • Preparing monthly documentation.
  • Participating in consumer plan meetings to support growth.
  • Administering medication as required.
  • Performing household duties, including cooking and cleaning.

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel as a Team Lead, candidates should demonstrate:

Position Details

  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
  • Salary Range: $17.30/hour ($2,998.67/month) to $21.62/hour ($3,747.47/month), commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience working with elderly or disabled individuals is preferred. A compassionate attitude is essential.
  • Higher education is not required but will be considered; relevant work experience may substitute.
