Director of Environmental Services

The City of Rolla, MO (pop 20,230) is looking for an individual with a high level of professional ethics, integrity, proven leadership skills and outstanding technical skills to serve as its new Director of Environmental Services.  The Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the activities of a 30-member technical and semi-skilled department including such services as residential and commercial trash pickup and disposal, recycling services, vehicle/fleet maintenance, hazardous materials disposal, composting, transfer station and project management.    Qualified applicants should possess at least 8 years of progressive business experience in logistics, operations or marketing with no less than five years in management.  Ideal candidates will have a background in solid waste services.  Applicant shall possess a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, environmental science or related field.  Salary range of $71,457 – $94,633 plus excellent benefits.
