Pinwheel Planting Ceremony – Child Abuse Awareness Month
Join The Collective Young Professionals and CASA of South Central Missouri as we kick off Child Abuse Awareness Month with a Pinwheel Planting Ceremony. This event will feature a proclamation by the Mayor of Rolla and Phelps County Commissioners, officially recognizing April as Child Abuse Awareness Month.
The pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention, representing the hope, joy, and carefree spirit of childhood. We invite community members, businesses, and local leaders to attend, show their support, and take a pinwheel to display at their business or home. Everyone is also encourage to wear blue to the ceremony, as the color blue is associated with child abuse awareness.
This is an opportunity to stand together as a community in support of children and families in need. Help us spread awareness and spark conversations that can lead to positive change.
