She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Minnesota\, Twin Cities.\n\n\n\nHer research interests broadly span networking and communications\, with specific emphasis on the Internet of Things\, network and cloud systems\, cybersecurity\, and smart city technologies. She has published five books and more than 150 research papers in leading journals and conferences. Dr. Choi has been a faculty fellow with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)\, the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory's Visiting Faculty Research Program (AFRL-VFRP)\, and Korea Telecom's Advanced Institute of Technology (KT-AIT). She has served as an associate editor for several journals\, including the IEEE Internet of Things Journal\, Elsevier Journal of Computer Networks\, Springer Journal of Telecommunication Systems\, and the IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine.\n\n\n\nDr. Choi's Recent Honors:\n\n\n	Chancellor's Award for Inclusive Opportunity and Excellence\, UMKC\, 2025\n	Distinguished Lecturer\, IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) (2024-2025)\n	Associate Editor-in-Chief (AEiC)\, IEEE Communications Magazine (2024 ~ )\n\n\n \n\nAttendance is reserved for 2026 Collective Members\, and RSVP is required.
